الملخص
This study aims to assess the impact of investing in accommodation services in educational facilities on the development of human capital, by enhancing the integration between theoretical education and practical application in hotel and tourism education institutions. Questionnaires were distributed to a random sample of students in hospitality institutes and schools in Homs and Tartous governorates. The questionnaire was designed using a five-point Likert scale, which allowed measuring the degree of agreement on statements related to the impact of investing in accommodation services on practical training and the development of professional competencies.
The results showed that there is a strong positive relationship between residency services investment and human capital development, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.878 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.77, which means that 77% of the variance in human capital qualification results is explained by this investment. The simple linear regression model showed that the empirical equation (Y = 0.704 + 1.155X) confirms that for every unit increase in accommodation services investment there is a constant increase in the level of human capital development. The descriptive statistics show that students who were exposed to training programs based on an updated residency environment showed a better level of performance and competence compared to students who relied on traditional theoretical education.
The study also explores the barriers and challenges that prevent the maximum benefit from this type of investment, such as inadequate infrastructure and delays in keeping up with technological developments. The research concludes that it is necessary to develop investment policies in the educational field and adopt advanced and integrated training methods that will improve the quality of training services and raise the productive efficiency of educational institutions.
